Craig Courtney: Bass Guitar, Vocals

Craig has an extensive resume stretching throughout south Louisiana, and has opened shows for many national acts such as Steppenwolf, Iron Butterfly, The Grass Roots and The Producers.

Craig was the original bassist for the popular rock group Aura in the 80's and the founding member of Roulette where he was able to cut his teeth with two great drummers, Tony Serio (Aura/Bad Dog Blues) and Robert Shulte (Roulette/The Topcats).  Craig's interests are oriented more towards jazz and progressive styles of music, but he grew up playing rock and roll and now enjoys playing almost any style of music.

After taking a 12 year vacation from live performing, Craig was persuaded to rejoin the business by his old friends Rick Windhorst III and Milton *Captain* Borel both formerly with Aura -- at the time they were both in the local party animal group Four Unplugged.

“We were working on doing a little trio thing where I’d get to play bass, keyboards, guitar, and sing.”

It was progressing nicely until Hurricane Katrina re-arranged the situation a bit and the Captain re-located to Nashville.

When Don Barry called and asked Craig to join a new project that was starting with Ace Palacio, there was no thinking about it. “I knew Ace was a great player and I've always wanted to work with Don, but the addition of Joe and Mike was more than one could wish for.”

"All of these guys are just great musicians to work with and we're having a lot of fun with it but, it really shows when we take the stage with Clockwerk.
